As a Data Specialist, you will work closely with our internal teams and customers to find creative ways to integrate, enrich and clean information in a cloud-based infrastructure. You may also be called on to analyze data to uncover insights.

Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:
- 4-6 years’ experience working with customer data, ideally integrated into a CRM system or Data Warehouse environment.
- 4-6 years SQL experience. SQL Server experience is desired.
- Salesforce development & SOQL experience an asset.
- Ability to convert high-level requirements into a solution – i.e. you do not need a detailed specification to be successful
- Solid experience with an ETL tool (SSIS, Informatica PowerCenter or Dell Boomi, etc.)
- Experience designing master data management solutions an asset.
- Experience working with third party enrichment tools such as Dun and Bradstreet, Hoovers or OneSource
- Experience with BI tools an asset
What You Will Be Doing
- Analyzing external system data structures and developing integration with Salesforce.
- Coding and implementing “org merges” to combine multiple Salesforce instances into one or to migrate data from legacy CRM systems.
- Designing & implementing governance, mastering & enrichment approaches for Salesforce data, with a focus on customer data.
- Conducting data audit, cleansing and de-deduplication projects to clean data.
- Designing & developing data integration between Legacy Systems or Marketing Automation tools and Salesforce.
- Conducting analysis of customer data to identify key predictors of activity: From lead management through to forecasting
- Develop SQL Server based automation tools for org merge within 3 months
- Achieve Salesforce Developer Certification within 3 months
- Act as prime data development support for at least 1 significant project within 3 months
- Sound understanding of at least 1 data enrichment partner’s core data structure within 6 months (eg Data.com, Dun and Bradstreet or OneSource)
- Sound understanding of governance and MDM approaches within 6 months
- Sound understanding of in variety of ETL tools within 6 months. Certification gained in at least 1 tool (likely Boomi) in first 6 months.
