Friends who work together, play together. Here we are on the 2018 Bandit Tour.
This year is shaping up to be an exciting one because we’re getting ready to open the doors of our newest office in Nelson, British Columbia. This follows our fall 2018 announcement of the opening of our office in Jaipur, India, which is already up and running with 22 Tractionites.
Back in the Kootenays, as we finalize our new headquarters in the brick legion building, we’re putting the focus on hiring local talent. Anthony Azar, Talent Acquisition Manager at Traction on Demand, says there are up to 20 positions that will eventually need to be filled as part of our Small Town Initiative.
“Our core delivery roles currently are software developers, database developers, software project managers (we call them Strategic Solutions Managers), business solutions consultants and QA analysts. We’re looking for people who have some experience in these fields or those who have transferable skills and a hunger to work with technology,” says Anthony.
Traction on Demand has a history of hiring people of all sorts of backgrounds. It’s not necessarily about what you know, it’s about what you want to learn and how you can participate. As Anthony says, “We’re looking for people who want to join a community and not just a company. What does that mean? It means you will work with people who will also become your friends. You will take on business challenges, both externally with clients and internally among us, and create innovative solutions that will drive scale.”
Our “people first” philosophy really lends itself to having an impact both within Traction on Demand, as well as out in the community. Part of being a Tractionite is a commitment to Traction for Good, our community engagement program.
“You will work together, play together and make a difference together,” says Anthony.
