Meet Traction on Demand’s new Higher Education Services team!
Traction on Demand is adding Higher Education Services to its list of industry-specific Salesforce offerings. After much success in the nonprofit/Salesforce.org space, we’re taking on an industry that is ripe for disruption. As with everything we do, we’re going beyond standard technology implementations to develop scalable strategies to fulfill our customers’ visions for their institution’s futures.
This announcement is coinciding with Salesforce’s Higher Ed Summit and yesterday’s news that Salesforce will create a new nonprofit and education vertical led by Friend of Traction, Salesforce.org CEO Rob Acker.
A new team has been assembled to focus on the unique needs of these institutions: 360-degree constituent view, increased admissions, LMS (learning management systems) and SIS (student information systems) integrations, lifelong learning initiatives, corporate relations strategy and more. The dedicated Higher Education Services practice combines the Salesforce platform experience of two seasoned Tractionites taking on leadership roles—Dylan Petter and John Pettifor—with the industry expertise of our two new vice presidents, Jeff Dixon and Jennifer Walker.
We are excited for the possibilities that working in this space brings. According to Mike Epner, President at Traction on Demand, “Jeff and Jennifer, in bolstering our extensive Salesforce experience with their deep technical and industry experience, help make Traction on Demand the ideal partner for higher education institutions investing in digital transformation.”
Welcome to the new Vice Presidents of Higher Education Services
Jeff Dixon was previously the Associate Director of Salesforce at Queen’s University for close to four years. He’s the author of two books published by McGill-Queen’s University Press, and research published in the world’s top-ranked peer-reviewed information systems journal, MIS Quarterly. Jeff is an alumnus of the Salesforce Higher Education Advisory Council and a founder of Canada’s first Salesforce Higher Education Regional User Group.
Jennifer Walker has over a decade of experience in the higher education space both at the university and startup levels. She spent eight years at Georgetown University establishing a university-wide CRM strategy before spending three years at the EdTech company Motivis Learning. Jennifer has a deep understanding of advancement, accreditation, lifelong learning and governance. She is a founding member and former Vice Chair of the Salesforce Higher Education Advisory Council.
“With the combined on-the-ground experience of our two new Vice Presidents of Higher Education Services, we will be able to guide institutions in achieving their visions,” says Mike. “There’s no doubt that higher education is at a crossroads. Institutions are looking deep within themselves and re-evaluating how they operate. We’re here to help turn the industry on its head and explore the possibilities with fresh eyes, bringing together solutions for today’s campus with technology for tomorrow’s vision.”
