Web Developer

As our Web Developer, you will be working on an exciting new venture- Traction Rec. You will joining the Traction Rec team, and will be working on both front-end and back-end functionality.

Skills

Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:

  • Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience,
  • 3-5 years development experience in Java, .NET or another C-style language through personal or work experience
  • Web development experience using JSP or ASP.NET is a strong asset
  • Proficiency in HTML and JavaScript/AJAX
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience in the finance industry or payments is desired
  • Experience in a start-up environment a plus
  • Highly motivated with the ability to prioritize what’s on your plate

Definite Assets

  • Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems
  • Salesforce.com development (will train)
  • Not afraid to ask questions

What you will be doing:

  • You will be building the solution on the Force.com platform using Apex & Lightning (Salesforce’s proprietary language, similar to Java or C#/ASP.NET and javascript)
  • Follows coding standards, builds appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts
  • Working directly with the product owner to understand technical requirements of the project
  • Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions
