After spending nearly a decade in marketing and enterprise sales roles, Greg founded Traction on Demand in 2006. He’s the first to admit that his intentions in starting Traction were very simple: to serve a small number of clients and help them better unite their sales and marketing teams. At the time, Salesforce.com was a relatively simple product. After four years of learning the platform as a lone consultant, Greg reached a critical mass and Traction as it’s known today began to take shape. Greg’s unconventional leadership style, combined with his industry recognized expertise in cloud computing and data, have earned him influential speaking engagements which have been instrumental in Traction’s inventive approach to solving real business challenges with great technology. While Greg rarely admits to having a plan (or business guess), he is the first to share his hopes for Traction, which are to build a company that plays a positive and purposeful role in the lives of its team members, customers, partners and community. To always consider the long term. To live without compromising on values. In 2013, for his accomplishments in building Traction, Greg was awarded the Business in Vancouver Top Forty Under 40 award.Greg grew up in the town of Nelson, BC. Although he will not profess to a favorite activity, chances are he’s either spending time with his young family, dreaming about innovation, wakeboarding on Indian Arm, mountain biking or searching for fresh powder in Vancouver’s surrounding mountains.

Strange but true fact: “While I graduated from SFU with a business degree, I never actually gained admission to the faculty. After my first semester I had a 1.43 GPA and was on academic probation. From then on, I had to negotiate my way into every class until I graduated.”
